Did you know one in four youth between the ages of 10 to 14 think about harming themselves? Grant Us Hope’s mission is to equip parents, school personnel, community members, and, most importantly, students with the skills they need to identify these youth struggling before it’s too late. Our “Hope Squads” are currently in 237 schools in 105 districts throughout Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeastern Indiana. These school-based, peer-to-peer student programs emphasize suicide prevention and foster a culture of belonging – and we continually hear from students the impact it has made in lessoning struggles and saving lives. It is because of generous supporters like you
that our annual Butterfly Bash is able to raise dollars so we can arm individuals with the resources, activities, and solutions to have pro-mental health conversations and accomplish our vision of “Saving Young Lives, Together.” We would be honored to have your sponsorship and support to make this event a success.
youth mental health
Are you worried about the mental health of young people in your life? Do you sometimes feel powerless to help? Grant Us Hope is here. We equip parents, school personnel, community members, and, most importantly, students with the skills they need to identify youth who are struggling and get them the support they need before it’s too late.
HOW WE SOLVE IT
Seven out of 10 youth say that when they are struggling with something, they are more likely to confide in a peer than a trusted adult. That’s why Grant Us Hope implements Hope Squad – an evidence-based peer-to-peer suicide prevention program. This school-based initiative includes ongoing mental health/suicide prevention curriculum and empowers youth to apply the lessons using their own creativity and keeping their specific school’s needs in mind.
